The organizational unit (e.g., legal entity, business unit, department) that acts as the superior entity in a hierarchical structure. All organizations must be defined in D365 F&O before they can be used as a parent.

The date and time after which this specific parent-child relationship within the hierarchy is no longer considered active or valid. A common practice for indefinitely valid relationships is to use a far-future date (e.g., 2154-12-31).
