The Interest Profile determines the accrual and interest calculation method applied to the internal order, impacting cost control, periodic allocations, and overhead costing. It ensures that interest is correctly calculated and posted to the general ledger, influencing financial statements and profitability analysis.

The Results Analysis Key (Ergebnisermittlungsschlüssel) controls how revenues and costs are evaluated for work-in-process (WIP), reserves for unrealized costs, and capitalized costs/revenues for long-term internal orders (e.g., development projects). It is crucial for period-end closing activities, impacting the valuation of projects and their contribution to profit and loss based on percentage-of-completion or other methods.

The Network Number for Account Assignment (Netzplan-Nummer) links the internal order to a specific network activity within the SAP Project Systems (PS) module. This integration enables costs incurred on the internal order to be directly assigned to and settled via the PS project structure, facilitating integrated project costing, scheduling, and progress tracking. It is used when an internal order is a sub-component of a larger project network.

The Settlement Rule target object (Kostenart für Abrechnung) specifies the ultimate receiving controlling object (e.g., Cost Center, Profit Center, other Internal Order, WBS Element, Fixed Asset) where the costs and revenues accumulated on this internal order will be distributed during period-end settlement processing. It is fundamental for cost allocation, ensuring that costs are eventually borne by the correct departmental, project, or asset entities, thereby impacting internal cost accounting and external financial reporting.
