Legal transaction - Cockpit

Client-internal unique identifier assigned by SAP for audit and reference purposes. This is a system-level identifier, not the human-facing business transaction reference. Once assigned, LTRNR cannot be changed.

Human-readable label that summarises the legal matter or transaction. This field is displayed in SAP work-lists, search dialogs, and transaction headers, serving as the primary reference for end-users. It should be concise, meaningful, and sufficient to identify the transaction without ambiguity.

Configurable transaction type that determines the template, allowed workflow transitions, and required parties and documents for a legal transaction. Each LTRTY is defined in SPRO Legal Content Management configuration (table TLTRT) and acts as a control for process enforcement.

Single-character status code representing the legal transaction's position in its lifecycle. Standard SAP values are I (In preparation), A (Active), and X (Completed); additional custom statuses may be configured in SPRO. LSTAT controls workflow actions, approvals, and visibility rules within SAP.

Audit field that records the SAP user ID of the person who created the legal transaction. If not supplied during migration, SAP defaults to the user running the load job. This field is used for audit trails, change tracking, and accountability.
